What does WebMotion actually import? +
Real, editable pieces — not a flattened screenshot. Headlines and paragraphs come in as text layers, buttons and backgrounds as native shape layers, and photos as image layers, all positioned to match the source layout.
Do I need the After Effects extension? +
Yes — capture happens in Chrome, and the After Effects panel receives the composition. Both install as lightweight extensions; no plugin store or license server juggling.
Will it work on any website? +
Most marketing sites, product pages and portfolios convert cleanly. Highly custom canvas-based sites or heavily obfuscated layouts may need manual touch-ups after import — that's what the report page is for.
